Energy Control Goes for Gold with Bergen Handball

– We recognise ourselves very well in the challenger position that Bergen Handball is in. They are a young but hungry club. That is a position we have been in and still are. Bergen Handball was therefore a natural first choice for us, says founder and CEO of Energy Control, Tommy Hagenes.

Bergen Handball was founded in 2021 as a spin-off from FyllingenBergen and the former Fyllingen Handball. The background was simple — they wanted to become a club for all of Bergen. The ambition is now to compete at the top of the table, but also to be the flagship of handball on the west coast.
– As a central part of this effort, we are well underway establishing what will become the most exciting and valuable business network on the west coast. We want to develop a network full of energy, collaboration, new opportunities and clear benefits for everyone involved, says Head of Sales and Marketing at Bergen Handball, Heine Horverak.

The network is growing rapidly and currently counts around 70 member companies from the Bergen region. This is the network that Energy Control has now become part of.
– This is an active network and we are very focused on creating value for our member companies. We therefore work actively to create activity and value across the network. This is important to us. Bergen Handball is to be the most valuable business network on the west coast, says Horverak.

He is pleased that Energy Control has chosen to become part of the network.
– We are going to compete at the top of Norwegian men’s handball. Compared to the larger and more established clubs, we are still an underdog in terms of financial conditions. We are therefore completely dependent on good supporters. That we now have Energy Control on the team is therefore not only very welcome — it is extremely important, says Horverak.

Tommy Hagenes explains that the energy and enthusiasm in the club and company are a very good match.
– It clicked from the very first meeting. Now we are going for double gold and a top position for both Bergen Handball and Energy Control, smiles Hagenes.
