High demand – and above all, great ambitions – mean that Energy Control is now looking for two more people to join our team in Bergen.

– We're heading into 2026 with a record-high order backlog. We've never had more to do, so we need more people on the team. It's about improving the product, but just as much about improving the customer experience, says founder and CEO of Energy Control, Tommy Hagenes.
Taking responsibility for the heart of the company
Energy Control is therefore looking for both a product manager and a customer success associate. Both positions will be important for the company's development in 2026. When it comes to the product manager role, the person will take responsibility for one of the company's most important products – the EC Go app.
– Setting aside our employees, this is the heart of the company. It's where our users control their buildings. This is therefore a critical product that we continuously work to make even better, says Hagenes.
A key driving force
He is now looking for someone who is passionate about product development and great user experiences. The candidate must be motivated by having genuine ownership of a product and following it closely through all phases: from idea and design to testing, launch and continuous improvement.
– The role is suitable both for candidates early in their careers and for those with a few years of experience, provided they have a strong interest in product, design and UX. You will work closely with customers, developers and with me, who currently holds much of the product responsibility. The role entails clear responsibility as a central driving force in the further development of EC Go, says Hagenes.
Getting better at customer follow-up
In addition, the company wants to strengthen its day-to-day customer follow-up. Energy Control is therefore looking for a customer success associate.
– Technological development is of course important, but we work first and foremost with people. In a technology-driven company it's easy to forget, but following up customers out in the buildings is perhaps the most important thing we do, says Hagenes.
With more customers and more projects, strengthening in this area is a high priority. The position in question has not yet been officially advertised, but will be announced shortly.
– We're looking for people who are passionate about great customer experiences. Even though the position isn't listed yet, I encourage strong candidates to get in touch, says Hagenes.
Why Energy Control?
Why on earth should I apply for a job at Energy Control, you might be thinking? Tommy naturally has many reasons for exactly that.
– First of all, we have fun at work. Right now we're a team of nine dedicated people with a genuine passion for what we do. Within a few months we'll be 14-15 employees. We're growing fast, in other words, which creates great energy in the company. That's partly because we've just got new owners, which gives us the muscle to grow even faster. I'm therefore completely certain that Energy Control will be a very exciting place to work in the years ahead, says Hagenes enthusiastically.
– We've also gone from being a pure start-up to being a serious player with solid owners. That gives security for the jobs. Energy Control is, in other words, not just a fun choice – it's also a safe choice, says Hagenes.
